MUSCAT: Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation (MOHERI) and Oman Society for Petroleum Services (OPAL) have signed a cooperation programme to conduct a tracer study of graduates joining the oil and gas sector. Dr Abdullah Al Sarmi, Under-Secretary, Ministry of Education, signed the agreement on behalf of the ministry, while Musallam Al Mandhari, CEO of OPAL signed the agreement for OPAL. The programme aims to facilitating the collection, analysis, and sharing of data to support the assessment of graduates versus market skill needs, and identify the shortage in skills that may improve human capital development standards in oil and gas sector.
